What is
it?
In small
capsules, providing easy dosing for children of all ages
contains no
sugar, binders, or allergenic excipients
provides only the purest, most bioavailable nutrients
in easy-to-swallow, kid-sized capsules
can be taken out of the capsule and mixed with food
Unlike many
multiple vitamin-mineral supplements for children, Children's Basic
Nutrients contains no sugars, binders, or allergenic excipients.
Only the finest, most bioavailable nutrients are used, and the
easy-to-swallow, kid-size capsule makes dosing easy, even in young
children. The two-part vegetarian capsule may also be taken apart
and mixed into food (like apple sauce or yogurt) or
liquid.
For finicky
eaters who need more protein, try Medipro. Experienced parents have
suggested that mixing the powders into yogurt and partially
freezing it becomes a treat. A frozen fruit shake mixed in the
blender is another way to provide these nutrients.

INTERACTIONS/CONTRAINDICATIONS
As vitamin K interferes with the effect of anticoagulant drugs
(like Coumadin), the concurrent use of these agents should be
avoided.
Folinic
acid and 5-methyl-tetrahydrofolate supplementation is not
recommended concurrently with methotrexate cancer therapy, as they
can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity;
however, these folate sources have not been shown to interfere with
the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual
taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can
safely take a supplement containing folate.
