Description
BrainStorm® is designed to enhance
brain function and support memory, by providing nutrients that
variously support blood circulation, antioxidant activity,
neurotransmitter production and neurological function.*Ginkgo is an
antioxidant that may help protect the body from free radical
damage.* Extensive studies show that Ginkgo enhances circulation,
which may support brain function.* Increased circulation also
supports delivery of nutrients and removal of metabolic wastes.
Eleuthero is an adaptogenic herb known to support immune response,
energy and concentration.* It is widely used as a tonic to improve
resistance to stress, restore vigor, and support memory.* Asian
ginseng is an adaptogenic, tonic and nervine herb, traditionally
used to boost physical and mental vitality, and speed up reaction
time.* The active ingredients in ginseng, called ginsenosides, are
known to stimulate the nervous system and the immune system, and
support blood sugar within normal levels.* Gotu kola has
traditionally been used in India and Indonesia for enhancement of
energy.* It has been shown to support circulation and to be mildly
sedating.* Gotu kola is not related to kola nut and does not
contain caffeine. Bacopa is an Ayurvedic herb used for 3,000 years
to support memory and enhance intellectual and cognitive
functions.* It contains alkaloids called bacosides which have been
shown to augment kinase, the protein involved in the synthesis of
new neurons.* L-Glutamine is the most plentiful amino acid in the
diet, and has many functions in the body. These include involvement
in cellular energy and growth, and as a precursor to GABA, an
important neurotransmitter. L-tyrosine is an amino acid precursor
to the catecholamine neurotransmitters epinephrine, norepinephrine,
L-dopa and dopamine, and requires other nutrients such as vitamins
C and B6 for proper conversion. These neurotransmitters help
regulate mental function, stress response, mood, and other
functions.* Tyrosine is also involved in thyroid hormone
production. Acetyl-L-Carnitine has been shown to support nerve and
brain function.* It is crucial for the transfer of intracellular
energy and in the production of acetylcholine, important for
learning, attention, and memory.* It has been shown to help prevent
damage from alcohol, and support memory and mental performance in
normal, healthy people.*Choline can serve as a precursor to the
neurotransmitter acetylcholine, and is known to support memory and
cognitive function.* Inositol has long been studied and used
clinically to nutritionally support mental function.* DMAE can
increase choline and acetylcholine levels, and has undergone much
study. Phosphatidylcholine and phosphotidylserine are
phospholipids, key components of cell membranes.
Phosphatidyl-choline is needed for normal brain development of the
fetus, and is a precursor to acetylcholine.* Quercetin has been
shown to support the integrity of mast cells, reduce the production
of prosta-glandins and leukotrines, and play a role in normal
capillary permeability.* Cayenne pepper contains the active
ingredient, capsaicin, which has been studied for its effects on
circulation, metabolism and the nervous system.*Many "usual"
nutrients are also important to support brain function. For
instance, thiamine (vitamin B1) and riboflavin (vitamin B2), both
partially supplied in their “predigested” co-factor forms, have
been shown in studies to provide support for neurological function,
and both nutrients assist in amino acid metabolism and enzyme
production, critical to neurotransmitter production.* Abraham
Hoffer demonstrated over 40 years ago that niacin (vitamin B3)
plays important roles in brain function.* Zinc plays a crucial role
in hundreds of biological enzymatic processes, and is well known in
Europe for its beneficial effects on brain activity.* Besides the
antioxidant function supplied by many of the above nutrients,
BrainStorm® also contains the antioxidants beta-carotene, vitamins
B12, C and E, and trace minerals including selenium.

Use

SHIPPING
All orders are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail or UPS
Ground unless other arrangements are made or we choose to ship by
an alternative shipper to ensure faster delivery at no additional
charge. Tracking numbers are sent to you via your provided email on
the day the order is shipped. If you have provided a bogus email,
you will receive no other confirmation that your package has
shipped.
Please note that if your order qualifies for free shipping we will
choose the shipping method. Free shipping does not apply to
International orders or orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto
Rico or Guam. If a package is returned after 3 delivery attempts,
returned due to an incorrect/incomplete address, or refused at
delivery, you will be refunded for the total amount of the order
less shipping, less a re-stocking fee of 15% of the total order
amount. If a package is returned to us by UPS you will be charged
any return fees that are incurred. If an order was shipped to you
at no charge and is returned your credit card will be charged
shipping.
If after 10 business days of the ship date you have not received
your package you have one week to contact us. If there is a problem
with your order (i.e. damaged product, wrong product, not the right
quantity of a product, etc) you must contact us as soon as you
receive your order. After 48 hours has elapsed from the time you
receive your order it will be assumed your order is complete and
that you are satisfied. SHIPPING TIME
The time of shipment is determined by product availability. If an
item is in stock, it will be sent the next day if the order is
received by 5:00 pm (EST). Shipping time in the continental U.S. is
typically 2-5 business days to arrive to you. If the item is out of
stock, the order will normally be filled within 4-5 business days.
If it will take longer, we will notify you via the email you have
provided.
BACK ORDERS
We try to keep all items in stock at all times. There are times due
to demand or vendor supply that your order may have to be
backordered. We try to ship your order as one complete shipment
(this enables us to offer the low shipping rates). If we will not
be able to ship your order as one shipment within 5 business days,
we will ship a partial order immediately and the balance when it is
available. We will email you prior to shipping even a partial
shipment.
Whenever possible, we try to ship your order as one complete
shipment. If you have ordered several products that need to be
special-ordered, we will hold your order until it is ready for
delivery. If an item you have ordered will take us longer than 8
days to obtain, we will ship the partial order immediately and
notify you by e-mail . We will ship the balance when it becomes
available (with no additional shipping charges).
RETURN POLICY
You may return any un-opened product within 14 calendar days of
receipt. You must request a return authorization from us via email
(service@thegreenpharmacy.com) or phone (910-350-0454). After 15
days, there is no refund available. All returns must be sent by the
customer. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if there is
suspicion of abuse or fraud as to part of our return and credit
